LUT (Look-Up Table) application is the professional workflow for consistent color grading. A LUT is a mathematical mapping from input color values to output color values that defines a specific visual look. LUTs can be created in professional grading applications, purchased from colorists, or downloaded from camera manufacturers for their specific log color profiles. Applying a LUT to footage shot in a flat or log profile — S-Log, C-Log, V-Log — converts the low-contrast, desaturated log recording into a contrasty, saturated image with the specific color character the LUT defines. The filter tool supports standard .cube and .3dl LUT formats for professional workflow integration.

Adjustment layers apply the same filter to multiple clips without embedding the filter in each clip individually. A 10-clip assembly where each clip needs the same color correction can receive that correction from a single adjustment layer rather than ten separate filter applications.
